Jerry and I have been married 47 years. “Lord have mercy,” a guy told Jerry recently. “To the same woman?” Life has been good for us. We are enjoying retired life.. We sell on the internet to make a lttle extra money to pay for things like food, clothes and gas. Retirement is another word for ”never enough money.”

One thing I have learned being in the sales business on the Internet, people are more open about sharing their problems with a stranger.
In the past 11 years of selling on the net, I have met many friends and a few relatives who are openly gay. They marry, share their lives, have children. attend church, work everyday, pay taxes, serve in the Military, go to Church, help support our nation. I have no idea what makes one person gay and the next one not. I suspect within the next 5 to 10 years, we will all know from DNA Mapping that gay preferences may not be a choice, but a necessity from birth. As science advances, our knowledge of the human body is going to take great strides.
In the meantime, I have it rated right up there with my neighbor’s and my children’s personal lives, I do not consider this to be any of my business. I consider it to be their business and God’s business. I love these family members, and friends and I cannot and will not sit in judgement. Lord forbid they sit in judgement on me! My life is hardly pure. To me this is the biggest prejudice of all, sitting in judgement of your fellow man. I’m not God, nor do I want to be. I’m not a stone thrower, not do I want to be. I want to be able to enjoy the people God puts in my life and I do.
In the Motorcycle world there are lots of gay people riding. Can they be upfront with this without a lot of heckling? I hope, if the subject comes up, they can and wil be. It may not be a macho thing for some riders to accept yet there are a lot of riders who feel like me. Can they form their own clubs and enjoy their hobbies, I’m sure they have. Do they buy from me, I hope so. I have a few good stickers I would like to sell them for their helmets on my web site. www.agelessparlor.com
One of the great joys riders have is time on the road with the wind, a few brisk moments of freedom from the pressures of life and for one shining moment, an enjoyment of living free. Let us accept all riders on the road as fellow human beings and give them the respect they deserve and expect the same.
Ride Safe!
Judy
